A 96 Subaru was driven out in Finland onto some ice, the ice broke and the subaru went down under, after three months and in the spring, the owner decided to go fishing for his subaru. He managed to find it and pulled it out of the lake, after draining the fuel tank (that had 15% fuel and the rest water), replacing the oil, spark plugs and WD40 the ecu components the car, ON THE FIRST TRY, started up immediately!
The owner drove 20km with it. “Still some water in the fuel, kinda lacks power.” Most of the electrics are working, ; the wipers, headlights and all seems to function correctly!
So remember, when you buy your next car, can it survive 3 months underwater?
